Our Client
A global automotive company
Responsibilities :
- Manage preparation of income tax, VAT, withholding tax returns etc. for the company group entities.
- Provide tax advice on direct and indirect taxes across the company business.
- Provide research and administrative support in international taxation issues (e.g. transfer pricing) for the company entities as required.
- Manage strategic planning for Direct and Indirect taxes for the company group entities.
- Review all required Tax accounting entries including completion of corporate income tax provision, deferred tax calculations and accounting for indirect taxes as required.
- Manage the completion of all tax account reconciliations within set month end timelines pursuant to global policy requirements.
- Provide support for local statutory audits and financial statements as required.
- Manage preparation of analyses and deliverables for quarterly assessments of uncertain tax positions – e.g. FIN 48 and FAS 5.
- Manage the development, implementation and updating of policies and procedures in respect of the tax function (including document management and desk procedures).
- Develop and train the incumbent Tax Analyst
- Update Tax Staff regionally on legislative developments through appropriate channels/forum.
- Continuous self-improvement through the attendance at external professional development and update courses.
- Develop tax risk management procedures and strategies and educate internal stakeholders accordingly.
- Manage all external and internal audits.
- Ensure that all systems are reviewed to analyze the quality of data and information used by the Tax Staff.
Qualifications:
- Solid experience within a major corporate and/or major accounting firm.
- Chartered Tax Advisor or CPA is a plus.
- Experience with a US Corporate or Parent Entity and US GAAP Tax Accounting would be advantageous.
- Experience preparing all major Thailand tax returns.
- Experience with Thailand tax administrative practices and dispute negotiation
