Responsibilities :
- Work as a member of Management to develop strategic direction.
- Prepare Sales budgets, reports and forecasts, in line with Asia Pacific directives.
- Implement & monitor strategic plan.
- Anticipate changes in the workplace so that new approaches may be developed and customer needs may be addressed
- Prepare and lead bi-annual sales review
- Co-ordinate and direct Sales team to achieve annual sales budget.
- Review of Sales team’ performance objectives, account management and overall performance. Provide Sales team with feedback on ways to improve results [e.g. training, shift in customer focus].
- Address personnel and performance issues in a pro-active manner [e.g. performance improvement plans for individuals who are not achieving results].
- Recruit superior personnel to fulfill vacancies within agreed time-frame.
- Develop training and coach new sales team member to achieve maximum performance within a short time-frame. Solicit assistance from local marketing and Regional Marketing on product knowledge as necessary
- Continuous development of career / personnel retention initiatives.
- Take leadership position in establishing initiatives in key priority areas for the sales force and provide team with information and overall direction
- Work with the General Manager to develop appropriate Bonus & Incentive schemes and review salary
- Analyses end of month sales results and pro-actively devise action plans to address issues, develop accounts and capture market share
- Summarize key events/threat/opportunities etc in the monthly report
- Review Sales team monthly reports, ensure all critical information received is passed on to General Manager and Marketing Manager
- Actively seek for tender opportunities and work with Finance Manager and Marketing Manager when special pricing is required
- Manage promotional / operational budget
- Ensure timely and effective communication with major customers. Maintain contact with key customers, industry associations to achieve the objective of the company and advise them of product changes in a timely manner.
- Serves as a conduit between the team and other functions [e.g. Customer Service and Distribution, Material Planning, Marketing, Finance etc] to ensure the sales force has the tools and support necessary to achieve results.
- Work with Marketing Manager to put business plans.
- Organize and plan agenda, communication of all meeting details.
- Review reports and other administrative requirements [e.g. expense reports, travel requests, product recommendations, people development etc] to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Answer all incoming correspondence in a timely manner.
- Ensure Corporate Policies and Procedures are compiled including, but not limited to promotion, business ethics, sampling, expense reporting
- Undertake agreed Sales Management Projects within agreed timeframes to agreed standards.
- Proactively participate and seek ways to improve business activities such as processes and procedures to streamline necessary documents/approval
- Work with other departments in improving internal processes for better execution.
