Responsibilities:

  • To develop the maximum possibility of sales volume for the hotel and all of its facilities to the local corporate market through direct sales efforts.
  • To sell and market the hotel in line with the hotel’s sales strategy to achieve the yearly budget expectations to the local corporate market
  • To develop maximum opportunities to generate sales volume with a view of exceeding Budget expectations for room, all F&B related sales and hotel recreational facilities to the local corporate market.
  • To make daily sales calls in line with specific targets established by the DOSM to local corporate offices with a view of increasing business from existing accounts and developing business from new accounts.
  • To establish close relationships with local secretaries, hotel bookers and group organizers with a view of increasing business and exposure for the hotel.
  • Account Management:  Local Corporate Accounts in pre-defined areas of Bangkok and RFP process for overseas accounts with guidance from DOS and DOSM.
  • To analyze and evaluate Account production and implement sales action plans with the guidance of the DOS and DOSM.
  • To communicate regularly with Regional Sales Offices on local corporate account management development and work with them to achieve their room-night goal targets.
  • To prepare daily sales calls and activities and ensure up-to-date reports are input in Fidelio S&C system as well as maintain account contact information up-to-date for direct mail purposes.
  • To meet and greet VIP guests of the hotel and handle complaints when necessary and make all efforts that hotel guests are made as comfortable and content as possible.
  • To work closely and enthusiastically with other departments to ensure teamwork and a smooth and efficient operation of the hotel.
  • To attend relevant company and Chamber of Commerce functions which could benefit relationships with the local community with a view of increasing business volumes at The Oriental.
  • To carry out regular sales blitz’s for the hotel.
  • To obtain and provide market intelligence for the hotel.
  • To perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Department Head from time to time.
