Job Overview
The BDM is directly responsible for developing new account extension business in the Thailand & Lao location in the Energy, Mining and Infrastructure (EMI) segments by maximising sales opportunities by promoting the complete range of services offered by our client’s company. The BDM will also need to effectively manage existing accounts that will be assigned to the individual in order to ensure we renewal of all existing accounts plus cross sell /up sell the range of services available to this market segment.The BDM will primarily be measured by his/her achievement or over achievement of budgeted new business, cross selling revenue and retention of existing accounts.  Gross profit targets as well as other related KPIs such as market share will also be set annually.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key target potential customers and establish a strategy to maintain and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Develop together with the Head of Sales & Marketing an aggressive sales action plan to achieve monthly & annual sales and business targets for new business and cross selling targets. 
  • Develop new customer prospecting plan which focuses on closing new sales with an aim to exceed budgeted targets. 
  • Ensure that there is regular face to face contact with all customers assigned to the BDM and adopt a consultative sales approach with all customers.
  • Proactively sell to identified key targets and develop viable pipeline of new business.
  • Responsible for implementation, co-ordination and results of marketing activity related to the new market development.
  • Assume direct account management responsibility for identified market segment to ensure proper administration and timely renewal of each account’s contract.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales activities reports in line with Location, Region and/or Global requirements. 
  • Develop long lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Develop Key Account Management Plan for existing business.  
  • Provide top level account management for existing clients and focus on relationship building to increase the profitability of each client through relationship marketing and cross selling.
  • Provide responsive and effective account management, problem resolution and follow up.
  • Ensure clients pay promptly within credit terms with zero bad debt accounts.


Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of sales & marketing experience. Proven experience in B2B consultative selling by offering solutions to meet customer requirements for at least 4 years in a service/ solution related business.
  • Have the sales & marketing experience to be able to sell at multiple levels (from middle to senior management) in MNC environment.
  • A Thai national who understands the  oil & gas, construction, manufacturing  & mining market segments and have a basic understanding with HSE policy and procedures. 
  • High result-oriented, sales personality (hunter style), used to working under pressure and achieving stretch goals
  • A skilled negotiator with good influencing skills.  Good oral and written presentation skills are a must.
  • Good strategic thinker with strong planning and organization skills who has the experience to develop solutions by adopting a consultative sales approach.
  • Strong business acumen and a highly responsible individual who takes ownership over his/her assigned responsibilities and is highly results driven.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic who takes proactive actions to accommodate working in a changing environment.
  • Excellent people rapport building and being customer focused.
