Responsibilities:

• To ensure that hotel expenses are minimized through the use of effective purchasing and by obtaining the most competitive prices for goods and services
• To set an annual operating budget for the Materials – Purchasing Management Department that will form part of the Business Plan, to ensure that the department adheres to this budget throughout the year.
• To achieve this by continuous market surveys, obtaining competitive quotations and aggressively negotiating in order to reap the maximum price benefits of purchasing power.
• To advise the General Manager and Director of Finance of the costs and implications of each Department’s consumption of inventory and non-inventory items, to contribute to all forecasting and business plan activities by providing historical information and cost projections.
• To monitor all costs in the Materials – Purchasing Management Department and initiate and maintain measures to control these.

Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management for at least 5 years in the hotel business.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or any other related field of knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
• Supervisory and management experience.
