Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust multi-year public affairs strategy aligned with the company’s commercial and sustainability objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain high-level, constructive relationships with key government officials, policymakers, regulatory agencies, and influential political stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary company spokesperson on public policy matters, representing the organization's position with diplomacy and credibility.
  • Advise the senior leadership team (Managing Director, Commercial, Legal) on potential policy impacts and recommend strategic responses and engagement priorities.
  • Author and manage the creation of all advocacy materials (position papers, formal submissions, briefing notes, and testimony) on behalf of the organization.
  • Lead the governmental and regulatory response during periods of corporate or policy crisis, effectively managing sensitive issues to protect the company's reputation and operational license.
  • Orchestrate and manage all official meetings and high-level engagements with government representatives, preparing comprehensive briefing packages for executive attendees.

​Qualifications:

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, political acumen, and crisis management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Law, Public Policy, or a related field; an advanced degree is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of successfully influencing complex legislation, regulatory outcomes, or trade policy in the region.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills (in both local language and professional English) for engaging with executive and government audiences.
  • Deep and nuanced understanding of the local political structure, legislative process, and regulatory environment.
