Responsibilities:

• Analyse on complex legal risks & opportunities on various Thailand & Laos laws including but not limited to company law, competition law, anti-corruption law, personal data law, food law, intellectual property law, property/land law, environment law and build legal strategies to ensure continuous business growth.
• Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and develop/implement corrective action plans.
• Manage the bi-yearly corporate and litigation reporting to headquarters, company secretarial matters, understanding and advising on local corporate law requirement and advocating strong internal governance.
• Lead the management of legal and compliance disputes, crisis, conflicts with consumers, government/enforcement authorities, competitors and/or other stakeholders.
• Provide strategic legal and compliance vision and advise to enable achievement of strategic business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Law/Legal. Advocate & Solicitor / Legal Practitioner (or equivalent) admitted to the Thailand Bar.
• Minimum PQE 7-10 years in a Thailand legal firm or as an in-house counsel in FMCG industry.
• Ability to lead junior legal manager(s), driving efficiency and people development.
• Ability to lead and develop a high performing team of professionals.
• Policy review, improvement and drafting skills, ability to develop complex legal/policy templates for the MBU or implementation at regional level.
