Responsibilities:
- Advising, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts including tenancy agreements, marketing, sales, supply of goods & services agreements employment, non-disclosure agreements etc
- Supporting new business initiatives from a legal perspective including licensing requirements
- Advising on legal matters/applicable laws, including ensuring compliance with data protection laws,
- Advising and follow up on all litigation, dispute resolution, and internal and external investigations
- Advising the operational and functional departments in all areas of law (advertising, commercial, competition, corporate, IT, IP, data privacy, employment and property)
- Increasing operational and functional departments’ awareness of best practices and policies
- Supporting in document control system for filing of agreements/documents/ correspondences, filing of the agreements/documents in accordance with the system and other legal administrative tasks
- Supporting the business on post-contract related matter arising from the collaboration, partnership, dealership, customer (individual / enterprise) and / or procurement agreements including but not limited to extension of the contract duration, change of scope of works, dispute with the vendor, supplier, dealer demand against vendor / supplier on late delivery or non-performance
- Identify, analyze potential legal issues and implications and provide legal advice to the business
- Working closely with the Information Security department on legal risks, financial and reputational risks and support the Procurement department based on the Personal Data Protection Act in Thailand
- Work with the Stores and HQ to develop legal awareness, deliver training, provide legal advice, guidance, assistance in customer claims and maintaining legal standard and compliance with applicable laws
Qualifications:
- At least 4-7 years working experience as a lawyer/legal counsel on commercial matters must have; experience working with multinational companies or in an entrepreneurial environment may be an advantage
- Careful thought, Open-mind and service mind
- Strong communication skill, and fluent (both written & verbal) in the English language
- Being a proactive individual that is highly committed with a strong drive
- Flexible and hard-working, with a can-do attitude, practical and solution driven; ability to implement and execute identified opportunities
- Ability to rapidly digest and distill complex issues and formulate strategy/responses
- Ability to establish, exploit and influence effective networks at all levels
- Confident, persuasive individual capable of managing and resolving difficult situations
- Good sense of responsibility, mature, self-driven and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- To balance legal issues against commercial requirements in the performance of assigned duties and tasks
- Advice must be practical while ensuring the company’s interests are protected and compliance with law observed
- Ability to manage projects independently and work under pressure
