Responsibilities :
Objection
- Execute food safety strategies and plans in alignment with the Business Unit Strategy plan and in alignment with the company Food Safety policies and code of practices.
- Ensure food safety requirements are fully understood throughout manufacturing processes and provide all mandatory training according to PI requirement and best practices around food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Provide support to the plant team in order to maintain safe processes and products within the current portfolio.
- Ensure Supplier quality compliance as per Business Unit Strategies.
- Make sure regulatory compliance with respect to Food Safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead Plant Food Safety team and ensure the company Food Safety policies and code of practices are met
- Lead /Conduct Monthly Food Safety Audits in the plant in coordination with Food Safety team and close the gaps
- Ensure company Food safety mandates compliance are met on day to day basis
- Coordinate AIB audits and ensure AIB standards are being practiced in the plant on day to day basis
- Develop and implement plant wide and Cleaning and Sanitation programs (SOPs) to meet Food Safety requirements
- Design and implement IPM and Chemical control programs in the plant to meet Food Safety requirements
- Food Defense: Institute the system to meet food defense requirements
- Ensure GMP are being practiced in the plant on day to day basis
- Ensure HACCP Plans are in place, effective, validation and verification done as per B.U/Sector guidelines and Coordinate FSSC22000/HACCP Certification and Surveillance audits
- Ensure allergen management programs are in place and effective
- Ensure crisis management plan is current and effective
- Ensure traceability of ingredients, materials and finished product is effective and the tracking can be accomplished in a timely manner
- Ensure manufacturing site is capable to meet food safety requirements in terms of people, infrastructure and process/facility designs
- Assist in resolving any capability issues in a timely manner
- Continually assess this capability in light of new product/process/package innovation initiatives
- Continually assess and identify systematic issues found in Food Safety audits and ensure improvement actions are developed in a timely manner.
- Ensure appropriate water and other ingredient tests are conducted and results meet the specified requirements forfood safety and immediate corrective actions are taken where deviations occur.
- Ensure appropriate finished product tests conducted and results meet the specified requirements for food safety as directed by B.U/or local government regulations.
- Facilitate customer audits
- Make CAPA for all audit -Non- compliances, follow-up for closure, monitoring / review for effectiveness and reporting
- Ensure SQA process followed for Thai M.U for the RMPM received in the plant, and prepare and maintain approved vendor list for the plant with periodic review and update
- Ensure GLP implementation thereby facilitating Safety for Lab employees.
- Establish monthly Micro lab safety audit program and compliance to minimum lab safety requirements.
- Counsel people following unsafe work practices (Stop unsafe practices)
- Performance appraisal of Microbiologist/QC Technicians
- Drive cultural change at work
- Recommend role and responsibility for QC Technicians
- Authorize Shift ChangesLeaves for QC Technicians
- Build capability of QC Supervisor and Technician in part of Food Safety system and evaluate their skill Progression.
- Identify unsafe conditions through planned inspection
- Report injuries
- Ensure the usage of appropriate PPE’s for Lab technicians and Line equipment associates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree of Science in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology with a strong understanding in Food safety management system and microbiological risks in beverage manufacturing.
- Minimum of five years’ experience and proven track record managing food safety within food manufacturing operations, preferably for a multinational company.
- Significant experience in dealing with microbiological and other food safety risks in beverage manufacturing including shelf-stable beverages; experience with low acid products a plus.
- Proven experience in Food Safety management system, lead auditory and preferably for thermal processing operations.
- Must have attention to detail and follow-up, as well as ability to influence across the organization.
- Familiarity and comfort with working across varied, diverse, international cultures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to represent the company internally and externally.
- High integrity, with personal commitment to corporate and community values.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently on teams toward common goals
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed
