Responsibilities :

  • The Analytics and Commercial Effectiveness Lead will be responsible to leverage analytics for defining and executing company’s Commercial Effectiveness and Marketing strategy, engaging with the business teams to utilize Ethical and Trade data to make more effective/efficient business decisions. This role will report to Commercial Excellence Director for Thailand.
  •  The successful candidate will be passionate about business, data and customer behavior. He or she will be a strategic thought-leader as well as a commercially oriented and proven analytics-leader. He or she will support our mission to improve retention of high value customers, increase frequency of high potential customers and grow overall business through leveraging data analytics.

Key Responsibilities and Behavior:

  •  The position is expected to manage the following activities -
  •  Integrate existing and acquired data to develop a single view of the business and monitor the business hygiene KPIs at monthly level, and acts as a brain to uncover “so-what” actions
  • Analyze data to track and measure effectiveness and ROI of marketing and non-marketing campaigns to help commercial excellence leader and other commercial teams in prioritizing the investments
  • Analyze data to identify productivity gaps & drive efficiency in actions of Ethical and Trade sales team
  • Identify insights on drivers to improve customer retention and frequency
  • Identify further sources for customer data and drive acquisition
  • Leverage external QuintilesIMS hospital data to drive higher efficiency for Ethical promoters
  •  Leverage HCP data to define efficient segmentation framework for Marketing team to improve overall business hygiene
  • Develop forecasting models to assist commercial teams in identifying growth opportunities and assist in business planning
  • Develop “user-friendly” dashboards for commercial teams to access market intelligence information and diagnose brand performance benchmark vs. competition
  • Liaise with Market Intelligence and Sales Force Effectiveness team to identify the opportunities/gaps to improve the effectiveness of business functions and drive higher business

Job Tasks:

  • Work cross functionally with Commercial Excellence, Marketing, Sales and Finance in data analysis and reporting.
  • Work closely with external agencies/ partner in getting the right technology and modeling in place as per business need.
  • Provide insights based on analysis and ROI modeling conducted by identifying potential risk or opportunities of company brands.
  • Develop Dashboard and KPIs for Management
  • Support the consolidation and standardization of data and design of impactful reports/scorecards to inform decision-making
  • Maintain repository of historical syndicated data as well as all customized projects to be used suitably


  • BA/BS/B.Tech degree or any related
  • MBA desirable with preferred focus on Strategy, Marketing and Finance
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business analysis, major computer system implementations, and/or major analytical or research studies
  •  English proficiency in communication
  • Ability to hit the ground running with interest/ experience in the topic, functional/ technical skills including ability to liaise with other functional teams to achieve the business objective
  • High level of motivation, ambition, drive for excellence
  • Rockstar in VBA coding/Excel formulas and experience in utilizing R/Python other tools to efficiently utilize the data available
  • Hands-on experience in developing regression/time-series/forecasting models as well cleaning huge amounts of datasets by utilizing Excel
  • Sharp, structured, creative problem solving and communication skills (verbal/ written including Excel, PowerPoint; listening skills)
  • Prior experience in a leadership role in analytics for leading companies, preferably in retail; or in roles that require high degree of analytical skills, and advanced problem solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn more about other commercial functions of the organization
