Responsibilities :

      As the Head of Corporate Legal, you will have a multifaceted practice to support our client’s production in Thailand, especially with focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and providing advice on various legal aspects of our client’s operations. You will also be involved in projects ensuring that material risks are identified as well as offering solutions on how best to manage and mitigate the identified risks, as well as support and work closely with the local management team and report to the legal department in Corporate HQ with dotted line report to the CFO in Thailand.

•  Collaborating with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
•  Responding to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures.
•  Acting as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization in Thailand are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
•  Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
•  Providing reports on a regular basis, and keeping senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
•  Monitoring the performance of the compliance program and related activities on a continuing basis and take appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.

Qualifications:

•  Legal background, preferably a mixture of law firm and in-house experience.
•  Minimum 5 years practical professional experience with a strong background within commercial law and the compliance field.
•  Proven negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills for commercial contracts.
•  Experience within legal project management.
•  Very good communication skills in Thai and English, written and verbal.
