Responsibilities :

  •  Be the scientific expert who covers from basic science to clinical perspectives and perceived as national level expert from internal and external stakeholders
  •  Engage external customers scientifically and deliver data and in depth scientific discussions which are not limited to Client’s products under scientific engagement policy
  • Respond to unsolicited scientific queries from health care professionals in timely and compliant manner with high quality
  •  Deliver insights from the field and provide feedback from customers to internal stakeholders to contribute to strategy development and business planning
  • Support commercial team by providing trainings to internal stakeholders and serving as a speaker and a modulator at promotional meetings
  •  Assist internal stakeholders in the identification of external experts within the therapy area and geography.
  •  Contribute to medical planning and execution
  •  Fully understand and always meet the requirements in the Client Code of Practice for Promotion and Scientific Engagement and Standard on External Interactions by Medical and R&D Staff and other SOPs based on Client’s values and meet Client’s expectations
  •  Meet Pharmacovigilance requirements and disseminate important safety information to the healthcare profession as directed by the Medical Affairs or Research and Development teams or the Dear Healthcare Provider Letter (DHPL) process.
  •  Support Client’s company study teams with the provision of scientific education and enquiry management from investigators and staff engaged in Client-supported clinical trials e.g. Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS).
  •  Gathering external clinical insight and enabling this insight to be incorporated in Client’s work
  •  Responding to specific, unsolicited information requests
  •  Communicating important safety information
  •  Supporting scientific research and clinical studies
  •  Planning, conducting and participating in scientific meetings
  •  Proactive Promotional Product Presentations

Qualifications:

  • Higher degree in life sciences: PhD, MSc or equivalent, MD, MBBS, MPharm, PharmD AND/OR other professional healthcare provision qualification with experience (e.g. nurse practitioner, physician, surgeon, physiotherapist or pharmacist)
  •  More than 3 years in pharmaceutical industry experience in a role successfully engaging in scientific exchange with external experts.
  •  Solid grounding in clinical, medical and pharmaceutical science with the ability to rapidly assimilate specific and detailed knowledge in these areas.
  •  Experience in evaluating and effectively communicating evidence-based medicine.
