Responsibilities

  • Secure adequate focus, resource and competence within the organization.
  • Train, guide/advise, control and eventually correct employees and third party employees in compliance with the company requirements and standards (Code of Promotion, Employee’s Guide to Business Conduct, IFPMA code, local code).
  • Support an effective and pragmatic compliance culture in organization and reinforce the value based, ethical culture of company in all business processes and relationships.
  • Local Policies, SOP’s and Codes are in full compliance with the global Policies, SOP’s and Codes as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Assist Area Compliance Head regarding planning and implementation of adequate communication and training as necessary for the Promotion & Marketing Code, Policies, SOP’s and other relevant standards.
  • Assist Area Compliance Head regarding planning and implementation of adequate monitoring and control system to secure a high level of compliance with the entire organization (including, but not limited to; front-end and back-end monitoring of all sales and marketing activities, customer and consumer activities, grants, sponsorships, payments to HCP’s, interaction with government officials, medical institutions & associations, etc.).
  • Assist Area Compliance Head regarding setting and managing risk management and compliance strategies and plans.  Coordinating risk management activities among the business functions (e.g. including Commercial, Finance, HR, Legal, Regulatory, Medical) to ensure an integrated approach to managing risk Facilitating the completion of risk maps for significant risks.

Accountability

  • The Compliance Manager will be a member of and support the Thailand Leadership Team
  • Accountable for ensuring Asia compliance program is effective and fully implemented.
  • Ensuring that company’s compliance culture is embedded at all levels of a complex organization
  • Responsible for ensuring employees understand compliance requirements and use good judgment in activities.  Ensuring appropriate monitoring, auditing and third party oversight are effectively implemented.
  • Manages policy and process enhancements and compliance issues, internal controls and projects that apply to Indochina and protect against significant liabilities
  • Establishes and maintains credibility and trust throughout the organization and is able and willing to consistently advocate disciplinary actions for compliance and ethics violations.

Complexity

  • Leading processes and teams across a range of legal, regulatory and policy requirements including fraud and abuse prevention, false claims act compliance, local promotion and marketing compliance and data privacy
  • Be capable of influencing executives of the importance of compliance and reduction of exposure to risk.
  • Determine which (if not all) of the currently identified corporate and/or Asia business risks apply to the business unit and then monitor and test for appropriate compliance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate significant compliance and /or internal control experience in a global healthcare or fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) organization, or consultancy firm supporting relevant clients.
  • Demonstrated strong end to end business processes, risk management, process improvement, and/or project management skills.
  • Management experience (5+ years) at various levels in organization.
  • Ability to provide high degree of reliance and accountability to senior management.

  • Excellent ability to read & understand and write legal frameworks (laws, regulations, policies, decrees, SOP’s).
  • Excellent communication skill both verbally and in writing (English and Thai language). Ability to convey the intend of a legal framework to employees with a non-legal background
