  1. Process
  • Ensures administration of documented SHE processes are consistent, legally compliant, and business sign off is adequate.
  • Contributes to the design, implementation and management of the Sharepoint corporate policy & procedures database to ensure company information is relevant and up to date.
  • Administers internal audit  and external certification schedule
  • Assists with internal auditing of operations, particularly quality, food safety, etc.
  • Assists in ensuring internal and external compliance reporting is processed and maintained
  • Assists in effective implementation of SHE practices by business stream and functional areas.
  • Administers SHE components of incident management processes and SHE reporting frameworks.
  • Develops and participates on behalf of the company in industry programs and appropriate research into changing legislation and logistics requirements impacting on SHE standards
  • Works closely with the L&D function to develop and modify appropriate training programs to satisfy changing trends in SHE
  1. Customers
  • Assists with progressing new business development opportunities with the operating streams and sites through timely supply of appropriate information and reports.
  • Assists operations and functional managers in interpretation and application of SE&Q policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the delivery of SHE support to line managers in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Develops appropriate solutions to resolve customer issues.
  1. Finance
  • Reviews SHE practices of client divisions to ensure they are consistent, and being correctly interpreted etc.
  • Minimises costs, usage, control own costs.
  • Integrates SHE requirements into normal management activities in an innovative, cost effective manner.

  2. Assists in the design and implementation of SHE initiatives to ensure adequate supply of appropriately trained staff are available.
  3. Assists in the identification and delivery of staff training for SHE requirements and self-insurance programs.
  4. Ensures compliance with SHE procedures.
  • Assists with the implementation of cultural changes and SHE development processes.    


  • Sound knowledge of up-to-date SHE procedures and practices, formal qualifications desirable.
  • Experience within a medium to large private sector organisation.
  • High level of computer literacy and understanding of information systems and database management.
  • Auditing experience desirable.
  • Experience in administration of certified management assurance systems and document control requirements.
  • Exposure to SHE regulatory requirements.
  • Well-developed customer service skills and focus.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • A preparedness to take the initiative.
  • A strong desire to achieve results and a professional work ethic.
  • Good analytical skills and a capacity for sound judgment.
  • An awareness of decisions having an impact on the business operations.
