Our Client
A leading global pharmaceutical & consumer healthcare company
Report to
General Manager

Overall Scope of Work:

To formulate and implement scientific/medical strategy for commercial competitive advantage, support the commercials with medical education and communication including implementing scientific engagement principles, ensure partnership development with key stakeholders, provide strategically medical inputs and executions for product promotions in aligned with cooperate codes and industry standard, promptly respond to medical queries from medical professionals and community.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Medical strategy

  • Assist Medical Director to develop medical strategic planning in collaboration with the Commercials for responsible products in order to achieve commercial competitive advantages.
  • Provide medical inputs for annual brand planning and implement/execute according to the plan.
  • Support the commercials to communicate strategically of relevant diseases and products to medical professionals and publics.
  • Back up for Head of Medical Director and provide mentoring/coaching support for any new Medical Advisor or other medical personnel.

Medical Education and Communication

  • Communicate/update medical/scientific information to KEEs based on clinical evidences and with balanced information.
  • Support the commercials in executing scientific engagement activities in align with corporate policy and SOPs
  • Respond to medical enquiries from HCPs and public based on central database (WISDOM), and in align with local regulations and corporate SOPs
  • Support the commercials of relevant medical information related to the products and provide medical inputs to all relevant internal customers
  • Liaise with the Corporate Affairs and the Commercials to manage external communication and handle all enquiries related to the products
  • Provide training on diseases and clinical updates on the products to the company’s staff i.e. Med Reps., sales & marketing personnel, and back office staff
  • Update to sales team on any revised or changes of Prescribing Information (datasheet); train the commercials team how to respond to any questions raised from the market.

KEE Development

  • Under the supervision of Medical Director, develop strategic planning for KEEs engagement related to the products
  • Develop and implement KEEs development plan in collaboration with the commercials
  • Build and develop good partnership with KEEs in organizing/coordinating any medical activities i.e. Advisory Board meeting, Expert Forum, CME, small group discussion, symposia, including overseas speakers
  • Help develop scientific/ medical education programs in collaboration medical associations/societies to ensure company’s prominence of values, trust and integrity in the market
  • Build and maintain professional partnership with Thai medical professions/communities i.e. Thai Royal Colleges of medical professions and medical societies/associations

Medical Governance and Compliance

  • Medical review and approve all the promotional materials related to company’s products in compliance with local laws and regulations, policies and SOPs, and local codes of marketing conducts.
  • Ensure all materials used by the Commercials and Public Affairs staff relevant to company’s products are medical/scientific valid and in comply with company’s Scientific Engagement principles
  • Ensure less or zero tolerance in compliance for medical communication to HCPs and public

Pharmacovigilance and Safety

  • To support Pharmacovigilance principles to be in comply with Corporate Policy and SOPs.
  • To ensure all spontaneous AEs are reported to Central Safety Department and Thai authority within timeline as stated by local regulations
  • To respond to any enquires related to safety issues from both internal and external customers


  • Help develop scientific evidence to support commercials i.e. create local epidemiology data, health outcome study, and local clinical study
  • Participate in field visits with the commercials in order to perceive and understand more about local business acumen
  • Network and partner with medical affairs and marketing leads within the same therapeutic areas in the regional and global levels
  • Perform any other activities as assigned by the Medical Director.
