Responsibilities:

NPR covers amongst others the following sub-categories: marketing services, travel, IT & T, facilities management, business consulting, capital expenditure, workshop equipment and services, waste management, utilities, property services, logistics and other project related spend. 

The initial focus of the role will be the Country spends in Thailand; however, the role will have sourcing activities of a few other countries in the A&P region as well. NPR spend in Thailand is estimated at USD 20 m and a cost savings of USD 250 K is targeted for delivery in year one.

There is an expectation that the role will support a category and pan-A&P activities once the local spend is under control.

The NPR Procurement Specialist role includes:

• Working with business stakeholders to identify supply and demand opportunities and drive procurement activity to deliver value to the SPU;

• Implementation of sourcing initiatives in alignment with applicable market sector and commodity strategies

• Understanding local business objectives, engaging and challenging internal stakeholders;

• Delivery of agreed financial targets, including cost and working capital benefits;

• Delivery of agreed compliance targets, including contract compliance;

Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role

Sourcing execution

• Identify and deliver sourcing projects to support the market sector strategies, in collaboration with stakeholders;

• Supplier selection, negotiation and performance management through rigorous cost and value analysis, and use of e-enabled tools where appropriate

• Ensure all sourcing arrangements are fully compliant to THE COMPANY processes.  HSSE, corporate, social, environmental and financial risks must be observed, and requirements such as authority to commit are fully implemented

• Support supplier selection, negotiation and contracting

• Integrate suppliers, supporting the implementation of new contracts and ensuring efficient change process, and execute roll out of new suppliers and switch out

Business relationship

• Routinely communicate with key business stakeholders to ensure Procurement objectives are aligned with business objectives, and compliance performance, issues and corrective actions are understood

• Work with global Indirect Procurement team to relay THE TOTAL COMPANY needs and implement global sourcing strategies locally

Market sector and supplier relationship management

• Identification of business requirements

• Spend analysis and market assessment

• Supply market analysis and segmentation

• Develop market sector sourcing plans and agree with stakeholders

• Support supplier management, including ongoing contract management and control;

• Identify and select key suppliers for continuous improvement through rigorous cost and value analysis

Compliance and purchase to pay (P2P)

Short term (within 1 year):

• Be the NPR procurement SPA for facilitating business process change as regards P2P scoping and implementation

Long term (1~3 years) :

•Champions P2P and ensures compliance procedures are followed

•Identify and implement P2P efficiencies

 

Qualifications:

Requirement:

  • Relevant functional experience
  • Solid functional experience in Procurement
  • Experience of negotiating with suppliers and using contract templates
  • Experience dealing with global and regional companies
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Advantageous:

  • E-Sourcing experience
  • Experience of working independently and/or with a remote manager
  • Experience of working with and supervising an off-site team of procurement coordinators
