Responsibilities: 

  • To represent Medical Affairs on project teams for sales and marketing projects, new products and/or formulations, including organize the structure for which the medical rationale for a new product, research (if required), substantiate potential claims by performing extensive literature searches, and evaluate the parameters of the product prototype agreement for nutritional soundness and accuracy.
  • To liaise with Regulatory Affairs to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of novel ingredients in formula through the development of a robust medical justification.
  • To substantiate the use of novel ingredients or fortification levels of nutrients and support the promotion of various structures of nutrients and claims for global market product registrations including new products, new ingredients or current ingredient claims.
  • To liaise with Training Manager and/or Product Manager to develop training materials and slide decks for sales training and KOLs to educate and inform about the key attributes of infant and follow on formula.
  • To act as a co-trainer with Training Manager for sales training session when appropriate.
  • To incorporate pertinent clinical data and supporting literature in a highly scientific manner into the materials.
  • To develop other written documents to be used for internal use for guidance and/or recommendation about a particular subject matter, and require a critical thinking to utilize the appropriate information for the materials.
  • To interface with issue management team on incidence or trends that may impact the safety of infants and follow on formula as well as business.
  • To manage issues that arise that may adversely affect business, and assure compliance with corporate standards and procedures upon participating in relevant industry working groups and societies.
  • To lead the local advisory boards in order to provide medical inputs and guidance for regional and global advisory boards on behalf of Thailand.
  • To actively participate in the regional medical meetings.
  • To prepare, manage and control annual budgets for clinical trial activities.

Qualifications:

  • PhD. in Medical Science, Pharmacy, Pediatric or related fields
  • Has clinical and pharmaceutical experience at least 25 years
  • 8 years’ experience working in pharmaceutical industry (i.e. pharmaceutical company) ; experience as pediatrician in both private, government, and medical teaching university
  • Expertise in child health and development, nutrition, allergy and medical knowledge
  • Strong networking with KOLs especially pediatric and nutrition fields; understanding of the infant nutrition business, compliance and code of conduct, HPC would be highly essential and benecial
  • Regularly review journals, websites and newsletters to understand updated trends in nutrition development would be a plus
  • Actively enroll in meeting and group work on nutrition development with FDA, DOH authorities, academia and industrial members would be advantageous
