Responsibilities:

  • This KAM, Respiratory & Allergy Market Access focuses mostly to create and provide more access to medicines, diagnosis & treatment in governmental health service plans.
  • This position will be responsible for the development and execution of the public sector customer strategy, which includes aspects of policy shaping. This role will provide the required support for commercial terms and offers partnerships, point of sale service programs, after sales services, and supply management. Development of true partnerships with the defined customers, including medical societies, are critical key success factor for this position. This will include developing a joint strategic plan, managing interactions with the assigned customers with the Business units, customers, distributors, and guiding and supporting the roll-out of sales and marketing activities within the company and with the customers

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Access for Respiratory & Allergy: Develop and maintain relationships with MoPH and NHSO where GA manager and existing Gov. KAMs do not cover, at both decision making and execution levels, to support Asthma, COPD, and Allergy Network Clinics in term of shaping policy, directions, resources, budgets, way of working to effectively execute, etc.
  • Business, sales, P&L responsibility for the assigned customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs, professional society leadership, and policy makers and 
  • managers at MoPH, NHSO, and district levels to support expansion of service plans and reimbursement efforts.
  • Identify and develop payor-specific strategies including generation of pharmaco-economic and clinical data to support the products’ value proposition (Value-base payment).
  • To educate potential customers on reimbursement issues and gain their support for market access through policy and/or clinical guideline development, in collaboration with the sales and marketing team to drive better market access.
  • Provide evidence-based data collection from sales team and hospitals to help support Respiratory and Allergy portfolio on quality aspects and differentiation of the company products from generics.

Qualification:

  •  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or related Healthcare Sciences (MBA or MPH or MPA is a plus)
  • Deep understanding of market access including how the healthcare system works in Thailand, especially for the government sector, including MoPH, NHSO, SSS and service plan system a MUST.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience in relationship development, policy shaping and a good understanding of pharmaco-economics preferred.
  • A good understanding of pharmaceutical industry and value chain – including public and private hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, wholesalers, distributors and service providers preferred.
  • Minimum experience 7-10 years within pharmaceutical, generics, or branded generics sales or marketing.
  • Previous experience working on government accounts or market access preferred.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical distributors and pharmacies a plus.
  • Experience in working cross functionally and across business units to develop strategy and implementation of plans
  • Strong financial skills to assess cost/benefit payoff of new ways of doing business in an environment with a great deal of uncertainty to the true impact on immediate sales
  • A strong track record of success in business management and change management
  • Excellent program management skills.
