Responsibilities:

  1. General Description of the Position
  • This role is responsible for creating the people development strategies that will ensure that all staff have the skills, knowledge and development opportunities required to help the organization achieve its vision and mission.
  • The role will lead the L&D function in providing a professional, proactive service, delivering L&D, solutions at all levels across the organization. The role is responsible for measuring and evaluating the ROI on training for the business ensuring we are compliant and capable.

 

  1. Main Responsibilities:
  • Work with Regional and HOD to develop a group wide L&D strategy, focusing on all aspects on the employee journey.
  • Deliver the strategy in conjunction with the wider business and functional training teams ensuring that all L&D needs across the organization are regularly assessed and reviewed.
  • Ensure all training needs is established in the business aligned to the organizational mission, vision, direction and objectives.
  • Ensure we deliver of our core competence and statutory/regulatory training.
  • Ensure that all activities including courses, resources and systems meet those needs; that appropriate activities and resources are planned, organized, commissioned, and delivered in line with those needs.
  • To lead and manage the effectiveness of our E-learning and Talent @ work system working with other HOD as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all activity is evaluated and developed to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
  • To lead on design and delivery of the organizations leadership and management program.
  • To lead a key initiatives program on developing our L&D agenda with utilization of the apprenticeship levy and other resources as appropriate.
  • To manage the L&D, apprenticeship levy budgets and external supplier relationships ensuring quality, cost and ethical investments are made and providing robust reporting on ROI and ROE of all activity.
  • To lead on key organizational people change programs, providing OD, L&D and engagement diagnostics and solutions.
  • To lead on Engagement, OD and Engagement activity including staff surveys, Investors in People, values, cultural programs and staff events.
  • To provide expert experience in delivering away days, induction, and psychometric profile events as part of team development.
  • To develop and improve our HR framework in the organization, developing key programs of work that improve the capability of our overall business.
  • To act as the key driver in CMT agenda and support Regional agenda.
  • To act as part of the senior leadership team within the People and OD team supporting the HOD HR as required.
  • To lead and manage the Training Administrator and all training facilities.

Qualification:

  • Previous experience as a manager in a similar L&D role understanding the full L&D cycle.
  • At least  7 years experiences working in training and development and OD
  • At least 3 years experiences in a management level
  • Experience of working in multi-national/cross culture working environment or organization.
  • Previous experience of working within a business where it or high-tech industrial, commerce and sales is a key driver.
  • Experience of managing training budget.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience of creating and delivering L&D strategy.
  • Experience of IDP, planning and evaluating and measuring impact of learning.
  • Experience of managing an e-Learning or training system.
  • Experience of developing and delivering bespoke to solutions to complex organizational challenges.
  • Experience of designing and delivering organizational change programs.
  • Experience of designing competency and training frameworks by level.
  • Experience of producing complex analytical reports.
  • Experienced in Psychometric profiling pref.: DISC.
  • Experience to be trainer and translator
  • Bachelor’s degree in related HR, OD or relevant field
  • Master in Management is advantage
