Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Identifies new metrics (i.e. KPIs) to drive performance relative to strategic priorities. Enhance scenarios planning analysis for strategic planning activities.
- Identify and drive value within business (stretch targets). Measured by profit improvement (wider margins), lower cost and driving performance. Focus management on most critical risks and opportunities.
- Thoroughly understands how to win in our markets and actions necessary to achieve.
- Demonstrates an application of broad/diverse commercial knowledge with understanding of how all areas come together and operate as a business.
- Understands, translates, and provides insight into business performance against competitor & industry trends. Ability to connect the dots.
- Partner closely with the other functions and business managers to ensure strategies are accomplished.
- Provide board knowledge of and connect with the right relationships with COE partners for areas such as Tax, Treasury, Risk Management, Raw, etc.
- Provides financial and change leadership by actively participating in high level business strategy planning. Provides necessary support to accomplish plans/strategy.
- Participate in business customer solution teams with focus on offering financial solutions to customers.
- Deliver clear presentations including defending positions on controversial topics, adapt style to continuously seek ‘win/win’ solutions.
- Communicates as an official spokesperson for the function within the business group and enterprise in a variety of settings
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead Integrated Business Planning (IBP) financial reconciliation for financial performance forecasting of next 24 months, advise, and provide financial leadership to the business group
- Partner with business lead to set up key Business Measurement and Scorecard for the business.
- Drive the development of the Annual Operating Plan.
- Scenario planning for forecasting and budget setting.
Talent Development:
- Identify, develop and coach direct reports to ensure we have high performing teams. Capable of initiating change, empowering team and driving results.
- Identify talent and champion development opportunities reflective of the business needs, succession plans and growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop long term strategic plans
- Strong accounting experience with very good technical knowledge
- Demonstrated change agility
- Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
- Strong leadership, team building, interpersonal and communication skills
